Downtown shoot...

Okay, so check out these awesome shots of my great friends Jesse and Walker.  Walker was my roommate for years before meeting Jesse.  He was lucky enough to meet this gorgeous gal through Liz Rose,  a mutual friend!  They met and have been inseparable ever since :)  Let me brag on both of them for a minute... Walker plays Aussie Rules Football for the Nashville Kangaroos and recently was selected to play for the US International Team.  Yay!!!  Jesse is an aspiring singer/songwriter and literally JUST got a record deal.  How awesome is that.  Check out Jesse's music on her myspace here and watch for her out on tour soon!    -Krista

Love overseas!

Jennifer came in wanting to do a sexy boudoir shoot for her man, whom she met online. He recently treated her to a trip to Greece (must be nice!! ha ha). His birthday is coming up and she wanted to pull out all the stops to give him a gift he would never forget.

Jennifer's confidence is very apparent in her photos and it's easy to see why--YOWZA! Paul is a very lucky man indeed.

Here are some of the less risque' shots from her session...

Asher is a year old!

I shot Asher's 6 month old pictures and when he came in today I couldn't believe how much he had grown! He is also going to be a big brother in October--congrats on baby boy #2!

He was such a flirt and had Krista and Andrea all downstairs playing with him during our shoot. He was all over the place, but we managed to get some great shots. Here are a few favorites...

Cheers!

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark... (Does anyone remember that book?)

Hello everyone!  Sorry again for the delay in posts this month, it has been a crazy month of traveling.  I have been up here in the Windy City shooting a 3 day chorus competition, my dad's band, and a few other random things for the past week.

Today we were in  Gary Indiana (about 20 minutes from downtown Chicago) to do some fashion shoots.  For those of you that are not familiar with Gary, it is a bit of a ghost town (veeeeery creepy).  Decades ago the majority of the population moved away because of a very weak job market.  The city has had a very hard time recovering, and now there are abandoned buildings EVERYWHERE, including the theater that Michael Jackson grew up performing in and an auditorium that Martin Luther King used to speak in.  Our past intern and good friend Logan James went with me and we spent 2 days shooting some of these abandoned buildings.

Let me just say for the record that I am a huge scared-y cat.  As my family will attest, you will not ever find me watching horror flicks or scary movies.  They scare the living crap out of me.  So for me to go into old abandoned buildings where there were homeless folk, mice, rotting floors and creepy basements was a major deal.  Logan on the other hand... Not so much.  Let me tell you about Logan.  This guy is about as fearless as a person gets.  On Monday, he was leaving me alone to go explore pitch black basements and dark desolate rooms by himself.  (PS.. .Did I mention that Gary used to be murder capital of the nation... and still has a very high crime rate?)  He even was not afraid when a homeless dude with a CROWBAR came up behind him in a dark room.  Instead of letting out a blood curdling scream and running for the hills (like I would have done)... When this homeless-crowbar carrying-character walked up right behind him he simply turned around and said, "Hey man... What are you doing here?  Whatcha got that crowbar for?"   I almost passed out.

So today, we went back.  This time with 4 models in tow plus a friend to act as our security guard.  We had zero problems and managed to get some REALLY kick butt photos.  Logan did finally meet his match however.  We all agreed to stay in a group (my suggestion, just so this didn't turn into something out of a horror movie where people start disappearing one by one.)  Logan again decided to go off by himself and explore, this time going to the top floor of an old abandoned apartment building all by himself.  About 20 minutes went by when Logan came busting out of the place, pale as a ghost and shaking like a leaf.  We asked him what happened.... Apparently he had been going through each abandoned room by himself, opening doors, looking in closets (ya know.. the typical horror story stuff... )  He went through the entire 2nd and 3rd stories when he finally came to a door that wouldn't open.  He tried to push on it, and it still wouldn't open.  Then he heard a noise.  He thought it was the wind.  There was a hole in the door where the doorknob used to be.  So he slowly leaned down, and put his eyeball up to the hole in the door.  When he looked through the hole, what did he see .. but ANOTHER FREAKIN EYEBALL LOOKING BACK AT HIM!!!!  AAAAaarrrrggghhh!!!  Someone else was hiding up there in the abandoned building and was holding the door shut!  Can you believe that!!!

Okay, I'll stop with the Scary Gary stories now.. It's late, I don't want you all getting nightmares.  Lol...

We are driving back to TN on Saturday, I have a wedding Sunday and then Monday and Tuesday I will be shooting a new show for MTV/CMT out in the Smoky Mountains.  Should be fun.  Brooke and Andrea have been hard at work at the studio getting all of your photos processed and ready to go while I am gone.  By the end of next week we should have all of your recent photos posted and be totally caught up.  Whew!

Hope you all have a great week and I will talk to you soon!

Carly!

Here are some previews from Carly Joffrion's music promo shoot today! She was absolutely beautiful and we got some great shots! She is an aspiring singer from Louisiana and has a beautiful voice! I was going to plug her music here, but her myspace is set to private... Carly, how can folks check out your music? Any other websites?

Well I am off to Chicago for a bunch of shoots up there, but I will be taking recent shoots with me so that I can post more Nashville shoots while I am up there. Hope you all have a great week!-Krista

Update : Carly just emailed me to say she has a public myspace account as well, check out her music at myspace.com/carlyjoffrionmusic You won't be disappointed!

Natalie's Headshots...

This beautiful gal came to us today to get some headshots as she is signing with a local agency, The Block Agency. This was her first photo shoot ever and she did great! Our awesome makeup artist Kelly Henderson did an amazing job on her makeup and I think we got some great shots. Enjoy the previews!

Kim and Giles Wedding...

Kim and Giles hired me to photograph their wedding at their mom's lovely home in Goodlettsville. Kim and Giles are absolutely the cutest couple EVER... (you gotta check out the photos below, I mean... you just can't fake the absolute love between these two!) When I left Nashville to drive up to their wedding it was POURING rain, and I was so worried the wedding would be ruined. They were very blessed though, by the time I reached Goodlettsville (only about 20 minutes from Nashville) the sky was blue and the weather was perfect! Hope you enjoy the previews, if you would like to see the rest of the photos from their day click here .

Sarah and David Zika's Wedding...

Hello everyone! I am back from being on the road to California and Nevada... And I am FINALLY getting caught up on posting all of the most recent weddings! Sorry for the delay...
Here are a few highlights from David and Sarah's wedding, they were SUCH a cute pair! On a side note... My best friend growing up was named Sarah, she went to pharmacy school, and then married a guy named David... And Sarah was a cute blond, David a handsome dark headed man... So this wedding eerily reminded me of them!! They were almost exactly the same in every way... What a coincidence!
They got married at Woodmont Baptist Church in Green Hills, and despite the VERY warm weather, they pulled off some amazing photographs. Sarah and David, I hope you love your pics! Enjoy!

Traveling...

Hello everyone!  Sorry I have been slow on the posts lately, I am traveling through California and Las Vegas this week!  We [attempted] to do a photo shoot out in the middle of the desert today in a very desolate/remote location... However, our plans were quickly terminated when sandstorms hit.  Those things hurt!  I may have thousands of microscopic bruises when I get back (haha... that will be a sight)... The wind was blowing the sand into us so hard that we had to shield ourselves behind the car several times.  We finally fought our way back inside the car and gave up after we couldn't even open the car door to get out.  We are going to try again in the morning, keep your fingers crossed for us that things will go better!

Brooke and Andrea are hard at work back at the office, getting all of the recent jobs processed and ready to send out.  I will be posting all of your latest shoots as soon as I get back into Nashville!

Have a great week!

-Krista
