Headshot photos are one of those things most people dread doing (like the dentist, the gym, the DMV, etc.) but as a professional in 2015, headshots and publicity photos are necessary. Most people arrive at the studio ready to grin and bear it and are totally surprised that the experience is pleasant, entertaining and even fun!!

We loved meeting New York Times best selling author J.T. Ellison (jtellison.com), who came in recently for publicity headshots to promote her work and her new book, due in March. She's a Renaissance woman who somehow manages to write novels, co-host A War of Words on NPT and write a blog reviewing wine (hewinevixen.com)

J.T. relaxed in the first few frames and we had the best shoot! She's funny and captivating and we got some beautiful shots. It's inspirational to be around people who are having a good time. (This is always true, even out of the studio!)

Thanks, J.T. for stopping by and make our last studio day of 2015 so much fun!

Christmas Mini's

A few photos from Diana and Shawn's holiday mini session! I photographed this awesome couple's wedding a while back, and it was so fun to do this updated session (and incorporate their fun 4 legged family members!)

Oh how we love beautifully styled maternity sessions. Dornica is a local hairstylist, and we absolutely ADORED her style!

Melissa + Beau / Wedding at Ruby Nashville

Melissa and Beau are from the Chicago suburbs, and decided to do a destination wedding here in Nashville! They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last weekend at Ruby in Nashville. This was our first time at this venue, and all I can say is WOW. It was such a precious venue.... Super contemporary, a bit rustic, and plunked right in the heart of Hillsboro Village in Nashville. It was the perfect place for Melissa and Beau's family and friends to celebrate their marriage.

M and B decided to do a private moment before their ceremony so that they could start photos before the ceremony (and before it was dark, thanks daylight savings time!) We started at Ruby, and then headed to a nearby park for some beautiful outdoor landscape photos.

They had a sweet ceremony, followed by a fun cocktail hour and tasty dinner, and finished the evening with an all out party with friends!

Melissa and Beau, we really enjoyed spending the day with you all! You both are so sweet, and wish wish you a lifetime of happiness! Congrats!
