Heather + Jason's Scarritt Bennett-Houston Station Wedding : Nashville Wedding Photographer

I really loved working with these two. Heather and Jason are two of the most laid back, fun people on the face of this planet.  Let's start with Heather. I talk to a lot of brides. I see them in the early planning stages, as the day approaches and finally, on the big day.  This girl never broke a sweat and gets a shout out for being the most relaxed, easy-going bride EVER.

Heather booked me over the phone initially, and we met a couple of weeks before her wedding. When I asked her if there were any specific places of Scarritt Bennett (her venue) that she liked the best for photos, and she replied "Eh, I don't know.  I've never actually been there... so wherever you think is fine".  It in a world of multi-tasking, micro-managing, this lady saw fit to leave it to the professionals. A bold bride who trusted her awesome wedding planner, Mary Alice of A Delightful Day.  I love it.  I knew right then and there I would love working with Heather....  No drama!

The day before Heather and Jason's wedding, it rained cats, dogs, cows & horses. RAINED. The day of the wedding, it was beautiful. We arrived in the afternoon to find everyone in a great mood. Heather was showing a few people dance steps in her bridal room...and there was not an ounce of stress or nervousness anywhere!  Heather looked stunning in her lace gown and we oohed and ahhed over her Manolo Blahnik's 'Something Blue' pumps. All of her bridesmaids were so much fun.  Little Evie was her flower girl, and was such a great helper all day.  She held Heather's dress everywhere we went and did such a great job! Overheard right before walking down the aisle...flower girl to ring bearer (who was having a rough few minutes) "Come on. You don't want to miss all the fun!"

I loved the vintage car that dropped Heather and her dad off at the front door of the chapel and their ceremony was so sweet and heartfelt. We had about 19 minutes after the ceremony ended to do bride and groom photos and bridal party photos before it was completely dark out but I'm happy to say we pulled it off with no problems!

We then headed over to one of my favorite venues, Houston Station where everyone feasted like southern kings (fried okra, mac & cheese, sweet tea!) and had a crazy good time dancing the night away. As always, our friend Mary Alice did an amazing job and the whole day was perfectly seamless.

Heather, Jason, family and friends.. It was great spending the day with you. I know your life together will be full of fun and laughter, just like your wedding day.
