Vanessa + Daniel : Cedarwood Wedding ; Nashville and Murfreesboro Photographer

Vanessa & Daniel met on a trip to Keeneland. Luck and love were certainly on their side and on Saturday, in front of close family and friends, they said 'I do' at Cedarwood in Nashville!

There is something magical about Cedarwood. This is a home that's seen over 170 years of celebrations. As you tap your toe to the fiddle player, or take a long sip of sweet tea, you connect to the happiness of this antebellum farm.  We always love being out here.

Vanessa & Daniel are the brave sort. They successfully navigated an engagement photo while both standing up in kayaks (their idea -- I promise LOL.) So a little bit of rain on their wedding day was nothing!!  Even though the weather was a bit drab and rainy, everyone's spirits stayed cheery and bright and we had a great day.  You can't even really tell from the photos (okay, maybe minus the umbrellas) that it was raining!

We were positive the rain would lift, and wouldn't you know it, right as Vanessa started down the aisle the last few rain drops fell and their ceremony was dry.  Yay!

We loved so many details about this wedding. The "guava" ties, stunning flowers, the wonderful pop of the bridesmaids dresses against the spring green fields of Cedarwood. Their dog Maddie paid a special visit -- complete with fresh pink pedicure... Love it.   Patty Cakes did an amazing job on the ruffle cake, it was absolutely gorgeous and Vanessa's brothers kept us laughing through the entire reception... It was a great day for all!

Sigh...I am in love with their wedding photos. The light was perfect and the white umbrellas ended up being a fantastic accidental prop. There was so much about their wedding that was seemingly serendipitous, not unlike how they originally met.

Best of luck, Vanessa & Daniel!!  We loved spending the day with you! :)
