Meredith and Kevin's Gorgeous Wedding and Reception at Legends Vanderbilt Golf Course

Meredith & Kevin's wedding had a few firsts for me. First time working with a wedding band that dressed as famous celebrities from the 80's, and first time we had to jump a trolley with my truck (so the bridal party could get to the wedding)!!

Meredith is a stunning, a classic beauty. I loved her 'meet a maid' feature at the reception that told guests a little bit about each of her best ladies. She also carried a special photo of her with her late father on her bouquet. When you see little touches like that, it reminds you how much thought and preparation and love went into their day.

After a sweet first look at Legends Vanderbilt, we took the trolley to Franklin to do some fun bridal party photos. Everyone packed their spirit of adventure and we shot in several of my favorite locations in the antique district. We finished photos, and went to hop back on the trolley so that the bridal party could get back for the ceremony.  When the trolley driver turned the key and the motor wouldn't turn over, we knew we may have a problem. So the maids took one for the team, and flagged down a tow truck who just happened to be driving by!! The driver was sweet enough to wait to make sure we didn't need a tow, and in the meantime the groomsmen hunted down a set of jumper cables.  Luckily, I had decided to follow them instead of riding on the trolley, and my trusty old SUV was able to jump start the trolley.  Whew! Someone was surely looking out for us... and we made it back to the venue in plenty of time!

The outdoor ceremony site was stunning. Janie and Haley (from Events by Janie!) did a fantastic job with all of the decor.  The white wooden building was decorated with chandeliers, candles, and draped with beautiful white sheer fabric that flowed in the wind. And just as the ceremony started, to the sounds of a violin quartet, the wind paused just long enough for a peaceful and calm service.

The reception was lively and fun. The band kept all of the guests dancing and laughing, and we had a great time watching all of the shenanigans haha!  The evening ended with a lovely sparkler exit.

Meredith & Kevin, thanks for sharing your wedding day with us!! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
