Matt and Candice's Previews...

This couple may be my new favorite shoot of the month!  Matt and Candice are the cutest couple... We had SO much fun shooting their engagement photos downtown Nashville.  I believe their exact words to me before the shoot were "We are up for WHATEVER you want to do.."  Yessssssssss!  I love it when people say that :) :)  Although I do usually ask a little further, and it turns out that they love music, love the downtown scene and wanted some artsy/urban looks.  I have had my eye on a few locations I haven't ever shot before (green wall.. love it) and so I decided they would be the perfect couple for these locations.  They brought really fun and unique wardrobe choices and totally rocked it out during the shoot.  Candice and Matt, I hope you love your previews!  I had SO much fun shooting this for you, and I can't wait for your wedding!  -Krista

Fruin Family

Some previews from the latest Fruin fam shoot! I have been photographing this family since Brandi was pregnant with lil Jack.. I can't believe how fast time flies! Jack has always been one of my little supermodels, he is awesome in front of the camera and always makes my job so easy. I have to admit, this time he made my job a tiny bit harder, he has gotten FAST since the last time I saw him! LOL! I chased him all over Percy Warner Park but it was definitely worth it, we ended up with some of the cutest shots. Brandi and Brent, it was great seeing you all as always! Hope you love your previews! :) Krista

Katie and the Kekuna Fam

Check out this adorable little munchkin! Katie just turned one year old and her folks brought her into the studio for 1) some shots to celebrate her big birthday and 2) some family shots for their Christmas card! Shannon and her husband Kevin transferred here from Austin TX to work for Dell Computers... and so they have quite a bit of family out of town who love seeing updated photos! They wanted to go with a motorcycle theme and they came with all KINDS of props (including their dog and santa hats... LOVE IT!) We had a blast and got some great shots! Shannon, Kevin and Katie, it was GREAT seeing you again! I hope you love your previews and I hope to see you again very soon! -Krista

Kari Nelson's Sneak Peeks

A few previews from Kari Nelson's shoot! Kari is an amazing fiddle player and you can find her playing downtown Nashville on the Broadway strip almost every day of the week... She played a few songs for me while we were shooting and I was absolutely mesmerized... She is awesome! I could listen to her play all day :) She wanted shots mainly of her with her fiddle as these will be used for her promo kits... Hope you love your previews Kari! - Krista

Stacey and Moni... Now these two know how to have a wedding. Or two... :)

This may be one of my favorite weddings of all time.  Seriously.  It is pretty rare that I photograph 2 wedding ceremonies in the same weekend, let alone the same day... for the same couple!  Stacey and Moni tied the knot last month with a dual ceremony, honoring both of their religions and backgrounds all in the same day.  We started with a traditional Indian ceremony at the Sikh Temple in west Nashville.  It was an AMAZING ceremony, completely different than your traditional American ceremony.  Moni pulled up in a limousine, and mounted a white horse to start off the procession.  For an hour the procession slowly moved up the hill accompanied by rhythmic drums, dancing, and beautiful Indian dresses.  After reaching the hilltop temple the hour long ceremony began.  Unlike an American ceremony, the bride actually enters first and then the groom.  It is followed by four rounds around the middle of the sanctuary, each round having a different significance.  The ceremony was amazingly colorful and Stacey made the most beautiful bride, surrounded by all of her bridesmaids dressed in their sarees.

After this ceremony was finished, we headed downtown to start preparing for the Christian ceremony at the Ryman auditorium.  It was such a perfect day, Stacey looked gorgeous in her gown and it was a touching moment as dad walked her down the aisle.  After this ceremony was over we headed to Lowe's Vanderbilt for one of the most grand and amazing receptions as I have ever witnessed.  These two know how to throw a party (well, they have had some practice I imagine... They do own "Mai", one of the hottest nightclubs in town!!) The ballroom looked like something out of a fairytale, it was decorated to absolute perfection and was filled with beautiful people who partied late into the night.

And now... drumroll please... a few previews....
Stacey and Moni, thank you SO much for including us on your big day.  It was the most beautiful day and we SO enjoyed sharing all of the moments with you all.  I hope you LOVE your photos!  -Krista

Sneak Peeks from Saida's Shoot!

A few previews from Saida's photo shoot!  Check out this gorgeous gal... I am SO jealous of her!  Haha! Not only does she have a PERFECT complexion, she also is an amazing dancer.  I secretly have always wanted to be dancer... But being that I never really learned how to dance... Well I guess that kinda killed that dream.. Lol!!!  Saida is a dancer for the Memphis Grizzlies and needed some updated promo shots.  We had a great shoot and I love the shots from the shoot.  Saida, great to meet you and I hope you love your photos!  -Krista  :)

Michele + David + Amazing Cedarwood = An Awesome Day

Michele and David tied the knot October 2nd and one of my favorite venues, Cedarwood in North Nashville.  David and I go waaaayy back.. He actually used to be my manager years ago when I worked at Dell Computers (long before the studio was even a glimmer in my eye!)  M&D have the funniest story about how they met, Michele's mom had been trying to set them up for years but neither one would go on a so called "blind date" so they never met.  They actually both worked at Dell together for several years and STILL never met each other.  Then one day they met through some mutual work friends and hit it off, realizing afterwards that the whole time Michele's mom had been trying to set them up.  How ironic!  Guess it just proves, mom always knows best... Lol.. Anyway, they had a gorgeous day at Cedarwood, and we got some amazing shots!  I also have to give a shout-out to my friend Eric Parsons who flew in from California to help me shoot this particular weekend. (Two of his shots are below, the boys and the shot through the trees.. Awesome..) Eric, thank you so much, it was so fun having you around!  Michele and David, I had so much fun with you all, thank you so much for including me on your big day!  Hope you like your previews!  -Krista

Amara's Comp Card Shoot

A few preview's from Amara's shoot! Amara came from Ooltewah, Tennessee (boy I would hate to have to spell that out everytime I gave my address out...) to shoot with us a few weeks ago! We had a blast, she was so fun and great in front of the camera! She will be using these shots to update her look with her current agent. She does acting and modeling... So keep your eyes peeled for her, with a look and personality like hers I am sure she will go far! Enjoy your previews Amara! -Krista
