One of my favorite little clients, Ms. Victoria, had her 1 year bash this past weekend! Mom Jennifer had the CUTEST party for her (isn't that cake just the best?!!) and I was so glad that I got to be a part of the big day :) :) While the fam was all present, we decided to do a few family portraits outside and take advantage of everyone being together! All of her playmates were able to come join the fun and everyone had a great time.... (Especially Jackson, who ended up eating her smash cake when she decided she didn't want anything to do with it! HA!) It was GREAT seeing you all as always, happy 1st birthday Victoria! Hugs, Krista
And of course... I couldn't help but take a couple shots of Jennifer's mom's English Bulldog. Isn't she beautiful?

Sneak Peek Madness!
Okay ya'll, I have gotten a bit behind over here on posting! SO here goes (like 5 ka-zillion sneak peeks today LOL)... We have had a crazy busy week! Some previews from Joe's headshot session...
Danielle's headshot session ...
Tracy's headshot session...
Josh and Amy's headshot session (plus a few of them together just for fun :) )
I was SO honored to also be a part of the Boot Campaign this week, a charity event at The Palm to raise money for our troops over seas. It was hosted by Marcus Luttrell (Navy Seal who wrote the book Lone Survivor .. AMAZING INSANE story, a definite must read) , and Charlie Daniels. Charlie and Marcus and the Boot Girls are doing amazing things for our troops and selflessly donating their time and money to the cause. If you have a moment please check out their site HERE , and while you are there, pick up a copy of Marcus's book or your own pair of military boots to show your support for our troops!

CMT Awards : Red Carpet
So, this post is LONG overdue but I guess as the old saying goes... Better late than never! As many of you know, I get to work with the fine folks over at CMT from time to time, and I was VERY honored to be hired to shoot the red carpet and award shots for the 2009 CMT Awards! I arrived a few hours early to secure my spot on the red carpet and boy, it was a hot day. It had just rained and for that reason they had enclosed the entire carpet with plastic tents. It was hotter than any sauna I had EVER been in, but the excitement of being in the middle of everything was so great I hardly noticed the heat. As the carpet opened, we photographed every celebrity coming through. Such celeb's included Taylor Swift, pretty much every country star imaginable (Alan Jackson, Naomi Judd, Gloriana, Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, and many more country artists) Michelle Branch, the B-52's, Luke Wilson (actor), and one of my personal favorites, Karolina Kurkova (Victoria's Secret model!)
After the red carpet closed and the show began, they ushered me to the back stage room where only myself and one other photographer were allowed. We then proceeded to photograph all of the winners one on one. It's one thing to shoot them on the red carpet, but a completely different dynamic when it is just me and them, trying to get a great photo. It was so much fun to meet and chat and photograph all of these folks and I was very surprised at how many non-country stars attended.
I SO WISH I could share all of these photos with you, unfortunately due to copyright and my agreement with CMT/MTV I am not allowed to publish any artist photos without their approval. Boooo!!! But hey, come stop by the studio sometime and I'll show you some really fun photos. And just to hold you over, here is a photo of moi, dripping in sweat waiting for the red carpet to open! (yeah I know... not NEARLY as exciting as a photo of Taylor Swift... You'll have to get over it.. Haha!) On that note, I'm going to bed... Have a great week ya'll! :) Krista

Def Leppard and Taylor update...
I just found out that Def Leppard put my photos on their website. Seriously. Some one pinch me. Check 'em out HERE
One of my good friends texted me and said she saw me on CMT tonight. Has anyone else seen this? They did film me during the shoot, but I can't find it anywhere on the online videos. Either way you should check out the Taylor Swift/Def Leppard Crossroads on CMT, it is one heck of a show!
On that note, I am going to bed. :)

Def Leppard/Taylor Swift Shoot
Soooo... One of my ALL TIME favorite bands is Def Leppard. You have absolutely no idea how many times I have blasted "Pour some sugar on me", "Foolin", "All I've got is a photograph...It's not enough!" or any of their 500 other AMAZING songs. Ha! Yeah I'm addicted.
So when I got the call from MTV/CMT to photograph their promos, it was all I could do to not start screaming and jumping up and down like some crazed groupie. And I normally don't EVER get "star-stuck" so this was kinda weird for me. (okay... confession... maaaaaaaybe? there was one other teeny tiny time in my life that I was "star-struck"... And that could have been when I met Mel Gibson. He walked right up to us and said "Hey ladies! How are ya?" All I could say in return was basically "Duh............." as I wiped the drool off my face. It was bad.)
Anywho, we had an AMAZING shoot and they were all such great guys. They were in town to do a CMT Crossroads taping with the beautiful Taylor Swift (who is also a huge fan of theirs). I will be posting a photo or two once CMT has it up on their site. Until then, we are waiting on artist approvals before any of them will be online. (Oh... and, in case you are wondering... I did actually manage to stay professional and stopped myself from screaming at the top of my lungs "OMG I AM IN THE SAME ROOM AS DEF LEPPARD!" Fun times. :) Haha)
In the meantime, check out some other shots I have been doing for MTV/CMT to tide you over until the D.L. shots are ready... Here was the USA Today article on the Bobby Brown, Carnie Wilson, and Maureen McCormick shoot I did a few months ago...
Enjoy! -Krista

Matrix Hair Show
I don't know if it is because my lil sis is a stylist in Chicago, or because we don't get the opportunity to have shows like this very often in Nashville.... But either way I freakin LOVED shooting this fashion show for Matrix NYC. They flew in 9 models from big agencies all over the nation (mainly South Beach and NYC) and then proceeded to put on an incredible fashion show. I was hired to shoot the event from start to finish, which ended up being close to 10 hours. The models went through at least 6 hours of styling each, some even had their hair set the night before the show to give it the right look. It was an amazing transformation and I believe the crowd loved it just as much as I did. Here are a few previews, the rest will be on our event site very soon (link on the right of this page.)
Now let's work on getting more of these top notch shows to Nashville!!!!!
